Privacy Swap
Overpopulation and surge in residential developments has made privacy scarce in major US cities. Leading to exposed windows, and exposed lives.
WhatsApp is all about privacy. With default end-to-end encryption, and multiple layers of protection such as Disappearing Messages and Chat Block, you can be sure that your personal messages are for your eyes and the eyes of the intended recipient only.
To make the point to America, WhatsApp turned those exposed windows into a new media to spread their message.
A mutually beneficial deal, trading privacy for publicity. On the inside, the shades functioned as a decor enhancement for residents’ homes. On the outside, they boasted WhatsApp’s privacy measures as branded billboards.
The shades were installed in homes and buildings nationwide, including iconic TV show locations like Tom’s Restaurant from Seinfeld, New Girl’s Apartment, and Full House Home.
